For this recipe you can prepare delicious mussels, vongole and any other inhabitants of marine depths in shells, with the main ingredient of the dish, the shellfish will be their juice, which is contained in the shells. Thanks to this we will manage to preserve and highlight the natural flavor of the seafood, while a small number of other ingredients only will emphasizeand it. The stock, which will remain at the bottom of the plates, very tasty, so don’t forget about fresh bread.

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 600 g mussels or shell
  • 1 handful cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • a few sprigs of parsley
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 lemon
  • black pepper



Wash the shells if necessary cleaning brush them and removing «beard«. In a suitable saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat, add the crushed garlic and saute until the flavor. Cherry tomatoes, cut in half, put in oil, cut down andwait a couple of minutes until they give juice. Then flavour them black pepper(if desired, you can substitute ground Chile), squeeze the lemon juice into a saucepan, add the shells and immediately stir the contents of the saucepan.

Cover the pan with a lid, increase heat, and check through a 3 minute — shells must begin to unfold. Again stir the contents of the saucepan, and cover with the lid still minutes at 3. When the majority of seashells reveal (usually 12 the most stubborn shells and do not open their shutters, and they should be discarded), remove the Pan from the heat, add the chopped parsley and serve clams in juice with fresh bread and a glass of white: first comes in handy to them a leftover broth overs, the second will be a pleasant couple of clams itself.
