I offer you a tasty and easy to prepare Walnut cake. I think it is quite possible to walnuts replace any nuts, the taste is not affected.


  • walnuts — 200 g
  • butter — 150 g
  • sugar — 120 g
  • flour — 150 g
  • dark chocolate (70%) — 200 g
  • cream (30%) — 500 ml
  • instant coffee — 6 g
  • powdered sugar — 16 g
  • cocktail cherries — 10 pieces (or other sweet berries)



Grind the roasted walnuts. Rub cold butter on a coarse grater and mix it with the flour. Add chopped nuts, sugar and knead the dough. Roll it into a layer thickness of 1 cm. With a glass of 7 cm in diameter, cut out  of dough 10 circles.

Cover the flat baking parchment so that its edge extends beyond the boundaries of the pan. Put the cake in the shape and bake in preheated oven at 356 ° F for 25 minutes.

Remove the cakes from the mold and leave to cool at room temperature.
For truffle layer, heat 250 ml cream until bubbles first. Add chocolate chips and stir. Remove from heat and set aside for 1 hour to solidify.

To beat with a mixer cream 250 ml cream until fluffy foam. Add powdered sugar and coffee and whisk again. Apply a lot of truffle cakes on layer 5 mm thick, and on top of it with the help of a pastry bag squeeze the cream thickness of 4-5 cm.

Garnish with a maraschino cherry cake and refrigerate for 1 hour.
